Interested in joining the Chorale?
The Metropolitan Chorale invites experienced choral singers to audition.
We are looking for singers with strong vocal and reading skills. In addition to musical excellence, the Chorale is known for its camaraderie and diverse programming. We are a welcoming and inclusive ensemble, committed to creating an environment where every member of our community feels valued and respected.
Our annual auditions are scheduled in late August. We will be running auditions for our 2025-26 season in August 2025. Auditions for during the 2024-25 season are by invitation only. We don’t have openings for treble voices currently.
Our season usually includes three concert cycles. Our Pops Choir (an auditioned ensemble) joins the Boston Pops, under the direction of Keith Lockhart for aseries of holiday concerts throughout New England in December.
Rehearsals are on Tuesdays from 7-9:30pm in Brookline.
The first step in our audition process is to receive information and a preliminary recording (two-octave major scale) from interested singers. It is from this pool of submitted recordings that we will be inviting singers to an in-person audition.
We invite you to submit the Audition Questionnaire, and a brief recording (two octave major scale). We will continue to review recordings and questionnaires until we have available spots to offer.
