Northern Lights

The natural world is one of the most compelling themes for musical inspiration. With choral music often comes great text, inspired by poetry or writings that mirror or reflect on nature. The awesome power of the elements or the astounding beauty of a sunrise or a starlit sky has captured the human imagination since the dawn of time. Northern Lights is a program based on the visceral experience we have in our relationship with Mother Nature. Tonight, we are pairing musical works with visual experiences that are evocative of each unique composition. Bringing light and projection together with the sounds of nature, we aim for an immersive experience in which art and life blend together seamlessly.
